My daughter has been with NIX since it first started and does a wide range of classes with them from ballet to cirque, jazz and lyrical and everything in-between as is also on their Elite Squad where they perform in competitions. The teachers are incredible and it's a wonderfully nurturing environment that I have not come across in other dance schools.
Since my daughter moved across from another dance school her progress and confidence has been off the charts. Nicky and her teaching staff are absolutely incredible and wonderful role models.
The creativity infused through everything is absolutely wonderful but also they really do teach valuable life skills and instil strong values and ethics through everything they do which is another way they stand out for me from other dance studios I have experienced.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the studio to anyone for their forward way of teaching which is absolutely excellent. I love it so much I have even started adult dance ballet lessons there myself! Very convenient as it's while my daughter is in her own class :)

Jasmine, Age 18
Started in Ballet, Tap and Jazz. Now our Saturday teaching assistant and mentors our younger dancers. Jasmine also started private singing lessons with us and is looking forward to going into full time professional training after ALevels.
Liberty, Age 10
Once a nervous dancer, Liberty joined at age 8 to improve her confidence and develop her love of dance. She’s now a confident performer who now enjoys dance exams, performing solos and living her best life on stage, at school and absolutely shines at NIX Academy.
Faq's
Can my child try a class before enrolling?
Absolutely! We offer a two week trial period for all classes. This gives all students the chance to really experience the class, feel comfortable and confident and make sure it's the right class for them.
Can they come straight from school?
Absolutely! We offer "Snack Club" for £10 a month. This covers the gap between school ending and class starting. If your child attends Hampton Wick Infant and Nursery School they can get dropped straight to the studio by their teacher. If your child attends St John The Baptist School we will pick them up from the school gate and walk them around to the studio. They can then get changed and have a snack before class starts.
If your child attends another school they are more than welcome to also attend the "Snack Club" but you will need to drop them off as we currently don't offer school pick up at any other schools.

Where is the Studio?
We are based on the Hampton Wick Infant and Nursery School site but have our own premises. Enter through the gate to the right of the main school reception and you will see us shining in bright orange and disco balls!

What should my child wear to class?
Our NIX Academy uniform is available to purchase online and in person (dependant on stock). You don't need uniform for the first couple of lessons don't worry!
What class or level is my child?
We base our classes on school years. However, we believe every child needs to be met where they are at. So in some cases we may invite a student to move up a level if they are excelling. On the other will never make a student move up if they don't feel ready or we believe they would benefit from staying or trying a lower level. The student and their happiness is the most important thing.

Do you hold performances or showcases?
Yes! We host an end-of-year showcase and perform at several community events throughout the year. We also hold watching weeks, exams and other shows each term.
Do parents stay and watch?
We allow parents and guardians to stay in our waiting room but encourage them not to wait in the studio for the first lesson as it can be distracting for their little one. Most students will be nervous for the first few minutes but then once al the fun starts they get stuck right in!
Is your school SEN friendly?
Yes! We pride ourselves in being a nurturing and inclusive school. Please let us know any adjustments or requests your little one may need and we will do our best to make sure your child is supported, safe and happy in class.

How do your fees work?
We run on a 36 week timetable (based on the school academic year). To make it more financially friendly for everyone we divide the 36 week payments and divide them over 12 months.
For example:
Student A takes one ballet class a week which costs £10.50 per lesson. We the times the £10.50 by 36 and divide it by 12 = £31.50.
You will be charged £31.50 via direct debit over 12 months.
This is the case no matter what month of the year you sign up.
We then ask for one month's notice for any class changes.
